The Mambo Wizards John, Henry and Glen have done it again: Another extraordinary year, jam-packed with a slurry of mind-altering experiences, heaps of hot chicks and the water abuzz with hundreds of hard bodies blasting out spray in every direction!
Mambo 2006 had everything you could hope for: Fantasy-perfect weather, wild parties oozing with the usual debauchery, and of course they cranked up the wind control to 11 nearly every day so all the Wave Warriors could throw some big cutties, slash some gnarly faces and strut their stuff in those magical Merimbula moments that are uniquely Mambo.
Mambo is cool because it's so totally different from all the other comps: The rules are -- well, there are no rules, except safety rules...(Hey Kav and Joel -- you've been busted -- get a leash or we'll publish those photos we took of yas at the strip club and take your stumps back...) ;-) There are at least six beaches where the judging happens but there's no offical spot where the contest takes place; no one knows who the judges are; no one knows what judging criteria is; yet, somehow, magically, winners are announced and no one ever knows why anyone won and no one disputes the results. Mambo is about fun. And, everyone's cool with that.

Special mention of thanks to all the kitebit%$hes who did a brilliant job keeping the beach eskies stocked with copious volumes of crispy cold beer. Yeah baby, YEAH! We love ya and you know who you are…
